EDCO waste-collection and recycling company will observe the Christmas holiday on Monday, Dec. 26— except in Lakewood— and will not be performing residential collection services. All customer-service offices and buyback centers will be closed Dec. 26, except in Lakewood. As a result, residential collection will be delayed by one day all week following the Sunday holiday, except in Lakewood, where there will be no delay.
Waste and recycling collection services for commercial businesses will be unaffected by the observed holiday and will be provided on the regularly scheduled service day, except in Buena Park, La Mirada and La Palma, where commercial service will be delayed. EDCO’s public disposal sites will also remain open on Monday, Dec. 26.
EDCO will observe the New Year holiday on Monday, Jan. 2 and will not perform residential collection services in the cities of Rancho Palos Verdes and Signal Hill.
Additionally, EDCO’s recycling buyback center and customer-service office will be closed Jan. 2.
As a result, collection will be delayed by one day all week following the Sunday holiday.
