Participants of all ages wear kimonos and accessories in preparation for the traditional Japanese ondo dance presentation at the Long Beach Japanese Cultural Center’s annual Japanese festival last Saturday.
The Center hosted the festival Saturday and Sunday and featured Ikebana flower arranging, taiko drumming, karate demonstrations, carnival games, origami lessons, Japanese food, and an exhibit on the history of Japanese residents of Terminal Island.
