A commercial building in Signal Hill caught on fire early Thursday morning, but no injuries were reported from residents or firefighters.
Firefighters were called to the 1700 block of East 28th Street shortly after 5 a.m. Thursday following reports of “smoke and fire coming from a building,” the Los Angeles County Fire Department told the Signal Tribune.
Firefighters arrived at the scene at 5:34 a.m. to a commercial building on fire.
The LA County Fire Department told the Signal Tribune that the fire was extinguished at around 7:23 a.m. City News Service reported that the fire burned through the roof of the building.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, and the LA County Fire Department said it may take days or weeks to find the cause.
