The First Fridays Art Walk on Oct. 3 will celebrate local artists and musicians in honor of Arts Month in Long Beach.
Eighth District Councilmember Al Austin will host a celebration of his birthday at Atlantic Avenue and Burlinghall Drive with live music by IAN Band, face painting and birthday treats.
Nino’s Italian Restaurant will host the Intellectual Virtues Academy’s mascot reveal.
Musical acts will include First Fridays regulars Hedgehog Swing at the Historical Society of Long Beach, The Joe Simon Jazz Trio at Wilmore Wine Bar and Hot Club at Georgie’s Place.
Other musical guests will include Majic Bullet Theory, The Terpsichords, The Molochs, Lorenzo Gigliotti and Bobby & Crutch.
The Expo Arts Center will host a yarn exhibit.
The First Fridays Art Walk will take place at businesses along Atlantic Avenue in Bixby Knolls.
The Big Red Bus will be available to transport attendees from venue to venue via designated stops at the participating businesses.
Bella Cosa, 3803 Atlantic Ave., will have information about First Fridays, maps, business info, and restaurant recommendations from 6:30pm to 8pm.
