Friends of Long Beach Animals is hosting a benefit at the Long Beach Playhouse Thursday, May 29 at 7:30 p.m. with a production of Gift of Murder, a comic thriller written by George Batson and directed by Dale Jones.
The play involves the famous actress Stella Cavendish, who, accompanied by her attractive young niece, is recuperating from a hectic season and a bit too much high living. They are looked after by a housekeeper named Wimpi and are soon joined by Stella’s producer/would-be suitor and her fellow actress/arch rival.
