Have you ever wanted to watch a National League Football (NFL) game with someone who’s played the game at the highest level?
Local bar and grill Jimmy E’s will provide that chance, with former Los Angeles Rams players Vince Ferragamo and Jackie Slater. The two Rams legends will host a live show of their podcast OnPoint Live Monday night while the Chicago Bears take on the Minnesota Vikings.
Residents can sip on beers or cocktails, try a variety of foods, enter the chance to win prizes such as autographed mini football helmets and watch the game while hearing from people who have firsthand experience and expertise.
Ferragamo was the Rams’ quarterback from 1977 to 1980, before he played for the Buffalo Bills for one season and the Green Bay Packers for the 1985-86 season. He was the first quarterback to play in a Super Bowl game in the same season as his first career start in 1979.
Slater spent his entire 20-year career playing for the Rams; with 19 seasons in Los Angeles and one season in St. Louis after the team relocated in 1995. He earned seven Pro Bowl appearances during his time as an offensive tackle, and had his jersey retired to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001.
The two former Rams players started their podcast this year and analyze NFL news, games and more as well as inviting special guests.
They will host a live show of OnPoint Live at Jimmy E’s Bar and Grill in Signal Hill (2951 Cherry Ave.) at 5 p.m. during the Monday Night Football game.
