Found Theatre ends summer with Garage Sale, Watermelon

The Found Theatre is making September a month to remember as it kicks off its annual fund-raising garage sale with shopping and a show.
To add a little something extra, the theatre is staging Garage Sale: The Show! in which four comedy improv groups will entertain audience members alongside merchandise. The Show will take place on Friday Sept. 7 and Saturday Sept. 8 at 8 p.m.
Following the garage sale, The Found will feature a one-night-only performance Friday, Sept. 14 by Broadway star Terron Brooks, who starred in The Lion King and Hairspray.
Sunday also brings back the Found’s Adult Storytelling Series on Sept. 16. The playwright Steven Henegar will present Embarrassment & Death in an exclusive engagement.
And wrapping up September will be an exclusive Long Beach engagement with CeCe Antoinette’s semi-autobiographical one-woman show entitled Watermelon–Git it While It’s Hot! The show will play on Monday, Sept. 17, Friday Sept. 21 and Saturday Sept. 22.
The performances will take place at The Found Theatre, located 599 Long Beach Boulevard in Long Beach. Tickets for all shows are $10 and can be purchased online at www.foundtheatre.org.
