The Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) has arrested four suspects in connection with a murder that occurred last month in north Long Beach.
On Saturday, April 4, at approximately 10:53pm, Long Beach police responded to the 2700 block of East South Street and discovered a male adult, later identified as 47-year-old Lawrence Lee Casados, down on the street with a gunshot wound. Long Beach Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced him deceased at the scene.
On April 23, detectives arrested 29-year old Derrick Kujuan Murphy of Palmdale, in Palmdale. The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office charged Murphy with murder, gang allegation and personal use of a firearm.
On April 28, detectives arrested 26-year-old Murray Terry McCrea of Victorville, in Victorville. Donte Dumount Lee, 28, of Apple Valley, was arrested in Apple Valley. The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office charged McCrea with murder, gang allegation and ex-felon with a gun. Lee was charged as an accessory after the fact.
On April 30, detectives arrested 28-year-old Dominic Jermaine Dixon of Downey, in Compton. On May 4, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office charged Dixon with murder, gang allegation and personal use of a firearm.
All four are being held at the Los Angeles County Jail. Lee is being held on $500,000 bail; the other three are being held on $2,000,000 bail.
