Food Finders, a Signal Hill-based food rescue organization, will host its Harvest Ball Gala Fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 6pm at the Alpert Jewish Community Center, 3801 Willow St. This year’s gala will celebrate the organization’s 25th year of reducing hunger and food waste in Los Angeles and Orange counties.
The event will include cocktails and a seasonal gourmet dinner provided by Erhart’s Catering, and Doug Peterson’s 17-piece Foghorn Band will perform. A live auction, hosted by Long Beach Chamber of Commerce CEO Randy Gordon, will begin at 8pm. Tickets are $100 per person and may be purchased online at foodfinders.org or by calling (562) 283-1400.
“This gala marks an especially important milestone for Food Finders, and everyone’s participation will help us continue our efforts into the next 25 years and beyond,” said Patti Larson, executive director for Food Finders.
Gelson’s Market, one of Food Finders’ regular food donors, will be a key sponsor of the event. The organization is still seeking event sponsorships and welcomes any gift donations for the event auctions as well.
