Gaslamp, Gladstone’s to host fundraiser for ailing employee’s recovery from cancer

The Gaslamp Restaurant and Bar has teamed up with the folks from Gladstone’s Long Beach to help a team member in need. Charlie Hamilton, 25, a chef at Gladstone’s Restaurant, was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor.
After months of severe headaches, Hamilton went to the clinic to receive treatment for what he thought was a migraine, only to find out that it was much more. After doctors determined that the culprit was a golf-ball-sized tumor, he was scheduled for immediate surgery. Although the surgery went well, Hamilton still has a difficult recovery to face.
Join patrons at the Gaslamp, 6251 East Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach, for an evening of support for Chef Charlie Tuesday, July 31. Proceeds from food and drink specials, as well as a silent auction, will go to the Charlie Hamilton Foundation. Doors open at 5 p.m. and live music begins at 8 p.m.
For those who would like to help but cannot attend the event, donations can be made by mailing checks to either Gladstone’s Long Beach, 330 South Pine Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90802. Checks should be made payable to the Charlie Hamilton Foundation.
