Long Beach residents and local businesses came from far and wide as Atlantic Avenue experienced its own personal winter wonderland at Snow in Bixby Knolls on Sunday.
The annual event was strewn along the busy street starting from Carson Street, where traffic was blocked to make way for food vendors and bounce houses and ended with a crowd of people waiting to slide down the pile of man-made snow on makeshift sleds.
Snow in Bixby Knolls also had something for the adults, with local entrepreneurs displaying their merchandise and businesses such as Starbucks and Vons giving away free samples.
With a day of shopping and snowball fights, Snow in Bixby Knolls turned the Atlantic Corridor into an experience that was fun for the whole family.
