Here’s where you can cast your ballot for the June 7 primary election

Six Long Beach voting centers will open this weekend on Saturday, June 4 until election day on Tuesday, June 7. 

This year’s primary election includes appointments to the 42nd U.S. Congressional District, California State Assembly 69th District, both governor and lieutenant governor of California and the U.S. Senate seat that was vacated by Vice President Kamala Harris, among others.

Some local elections include the Los Angeles County sheriff and assessor, the mayor of Long Beach, Long Beach city councilmembers for the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th districts as well as Long Beach’s city attorney, prosecutor and auditor. 

The centers will be open daily Saturday, June 4, through Monday, June 6, from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on election day, Tuesday, June 7. 

The six voting centers in Long Beach are located at:

  • The Long Beach Senior Center at 1150 E 4th St. 
  • International City Masonic Center at 5155 E Pacific Coast Hwy.
  • Long Beach City College – PCC at 1305 E Pacific Coast Hwy.
  • The Salvation Army Long Beach at 3090 Long Beach Blvd.
  • Long Beach City College – LAC at 4901 E Carson St.
  • Houghton Park Community Center at 6301 Myrtle Ave.

Ballots can also be dropped off at any of the voting centers up until the 8 p.m. closing time on June 7.

On election day, Long Beach Transit will be providing free bus rides on all routes to allow for voters to travel to the centers. 

All registered voters should have received a mail-in ballot in the mail that can be sent in postage free or dropped off in one of the following drop box locations:

  • Bixby Park Community Center (130 Cherry Ave.)
  • Bret Harte Neighborhood Library( 1595 W. Willow St.)
  • Burnett Neighborhood Library (560 E. Hill St.)
  • Dana Neighborhood Library (3680 Atlantic Ave.)
  • El Dorado Park West Community Center (2800 N. Studebaker Rd.)
  • Freeman Community Center (1205 Freeman Ave.)
  • Heartwell Park Community Center (5801 Parkcrest St.)
  • Houghton Park Community Center (6301 Myrtle Ave.)
  • Long Beach City Hall (411 W. Ocean Blvd.)
  • Long Beach Senior Center (1150 E. Fourth St.)
  • Marina Vista Park (5355 E. Eliot St.)
  • Mark Twain Neighborhood Library (1401 E. Anaheim St.)
  • Michelle Obama Neighborhood Library (5870 Atlantic Ave.)
  • Ramona Park (3301 E. 65th St.)
  • Scherer Park (4600 Long Beach Blvd.)
  • Stearns Champions Park (4520 E. 23rd St.)
  • Veterans Park (101 E. 28th St.) 
  • Signal Hill Public Library (1800 E Hill St, Signal Hill)

Mail-in ballots must be postmarked by Tuesday, June 7, 2022 to be counted. Once a ballot is received, voters should expect a text message confirmation. Voters can also check the status of their ballot at california.ballottrax.net.
