The hilltop area of Signal Hill will be closed to all non-residential vehicular traffic on the Fourth of July holiday beginning at 6pm, according to the Signal Hill Police Department (SHPD). Because hilltop space is limited, residents planning to have parties are advised to inform their guests to arrive early in order to obtain a parking space, according to SHPD.
Signs will be posted in areas that will be closed, and parking violations will be enforced.
Additionally, the possession, sale or discharge of any type of fireworks, including those considered “safe and sane,” are prohibited within the city of Signal Hill, and the SHPD has announced that violations will be enforced.
Hilltop residents planning to have a party on the Fourth of July should contact Sgt. R. Cravens at rcravens@signalhillpd.org or Sr. Officer A. Gabaldon at agabaldon@signalhillpd.org for information regarding hilltop access for their guests.
