Hooman Automotive Group will host a groundbreaking ceremony at 11:30am on Friday, Nov. 21 to mark the start of construction for its $18-million Toyota Dealerships at 3399 Willow St., according to the company.
Demolition of the previous structure on the site recently commenced, and the property is expected to be ready for the start of new construction in the next few weeks, according to Hooman Automotive Group.
“The new state-of-the-art Toyota Sales and Service facility will be the model for new car dealerships moving forward,” states a press release from Hooman. “It will offer unprecedented comfort and convenience to the customer, add more than 100 new jobs in addition to the 200 employees it currently has, for a total of 300 employees in all. The project will also add significant tax revenues to the community.”
The new facility has been designed to be a “green” building that features solar power, low-power-consumption lighting, advanced heating and cooling, and built-in waste-water purification and recycling, according to the company.
