At the March 27 Kiwanis meeting, Frank Buono, owner of Buono’s Authentic Pizzeria, Najam Khan, general manager of Long Beach Marriot, and Martin Ayala, general manager of Avila’s El Ranchito Mexican Restaurant, were also recognized for their contributions to Project Achieve.
Each donated dinner for all the residents, supplemented by beverages and dessert provided by the club, which handles one dinner per month. Other groups also contribute so the residents receive approximately 15 hot dinners each month.
