He began his two-year term July 1, leading a group of more than 40 volunteers, who ensure the clubs fulfill their mission to provide “a positive place for kids,” according to the organization, which indicated that it serves more than 4,000 children annually.
Bryson is chief executive officer of Long Beach-based Bryson Financial, which provides solutions for employee benefits, retirement plans and business insurance for clients nationwide.
He is a father of two who grew up in Long Beach and has served on the Long Beach Boys & Girls Clubs executive committee since 2010 and as a volunteer for more than 10 years.
“We are very excited to welcome Trent as board president,” said Don Rodriguez, executive director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach. “With his financial acumen and his passion for our mission, we look forward to his leadership that will help us get stronger and stronger in our commitment to serving children in the community.”
Since opening the doors of the first club in 1939, approximately 220,000 boys and girls have been members of the clubs, widely recognized as one of the top youth organizations in Long Beach, according to Boys & Girls Club.
Currently, three traditional club sites, eight school sites and three park sites serve roughly 4,300 Long Beach children each year.
