“I want to thank City Manager Patrick H. West, the mayor and the city council for having afforded me the privilege and honor of serving them and the residents of Long Beach,” Sanchez said. “While my tenure has been short, it has been filled with enumerable memories and lessons that will influence and guide me in my professional career. I have worked alongside some excellent colleagues and amazing individuals during the past 22 months.”
Sanchez is responsible for a variety of functions, including special projects, communications, government affairs and the Citizen’s Police Complaint Commission, and he serves as the City’s chief liaison to the Gateway Cities Council of Governments.
“Arturo’s dedication and leadership have been instrumental to the City of Long Beach in several areas,” West said. “He has done a great job of reaching out and collaborating with the community and other stakeholders, and he will be missed.”
The City of Long Beach hired Sanchez in February 2015. His last day with the City of Long Beach will be Jan. 6, 2017.
