LB Junior Chamber announces new board

The Long Beach Junior Chamber of Commerce Charitable Foundation named its new board of trustees in elections this past week.
The latest election has brought Downey Unified schoolteacher Lorraine Neal onto the board. Returning as a trustee and serving as first vice president is Long Beach Police Lieutenant David Cannan. Newly named Twain Elementary School Principal Ellen Ryan returns to the board along, with Denise DeWolf of Broadway Glass in Long Beach and Doug Briscoe of Ralph’s grocery stores.
The non-profit group is known for its Mary Pat Bamrick Adopt-a-Teacher Grant Program, which provides grants to assist teachers with the purchase of school supplies for their classrooms.
The foundation also provides scholarships to students in the Long Beach area.
