The Long Beach Museum of Art and its fundraising affiliate, Phoenix, will present a “Celebrating 60″ anniversary bash from 6pm to 10pm on Saturday, Sept. 25.
The event will commemorate the Museum’s 60-year history of collecting and exhibiting art.
The bash will include a silent auction featuring more than 50 parties, trips and gifts, tapas dining catered by Claire’s at the Museum restaurant, a hosted bar, access to “Celebrating 60″ exhibitions, dancing and a live musical performance by Magical Mystery Tour: A Tribute to The Beatles. The event will also feature activity booths, including fortune-telling, photo booths and face-painting.
All proceeds from the bash will support the Museum’s mission to serve as an educational resource to the community.
The Long Beach Museum of Art is a community-based, non-profit that collects and cares for a permanent art collection, presents changing exhibitions in a variety of media and provides engaging educational programming for youth and adults.
These programs give children from every background an opportunity to experience world-class art exhibitions and to explore their own creativity through hands-on art-making workshops.
All of the Museum’s educational programming is offered free of charge and in many cases transportation is provided. Programs serve Long Beach Unified School District students and other local and regional school districts, college and university students, families, the general public and teachers.
Tickets to attend the fundraiser are $175 per person. Complimentary valet parking will be provided from the Museum’s parking lot, located one block west of the Museum.
