LB Symphony concert to present music by Handel, Dvorák

Maestro Enrique Arturo Diemecke and the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra will continue the 2009-2010 “Beethoven Comes to the Beach” season on Saturday, Jan. 16, when the orchestra performs Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8 in F Major. Also on the program will be Handel’s Royal Fireworks Music and Dvorák’s Symphony No. 9, “From the New World.”
All LBSO Classics Concerts take place at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center in the Terrace Theater, 300 East Ocean Blvd. Concerts begin at 8pm. A pre-concert lecture hosted by KUSC-FM personality Alan Chapman begins at 7pm for ticketed patrons, offering entertaining insights into the evening’s repertoire. Tickets start at $18.
