The graduates are Helen Bushrod, Danielle Ferguson, Kaleab Gorfu, Frank Luna, Frank Nieblas, Jasmyne Press and Reuben Watson. They were culled from an initial applicant pool of 150 candidates, according to LBT.
“Long Beach Transit has always been a company that has allowed employees to dream and achieve those dreams through opportunity and hard work,” said LBT Manager Training and Development Dino Smith.
LBT is actively recruiting full-time bus operators with starting pay of $14.96 an hour and annual raises. Operators earn paid vacation, sick leave and holidays. Candidates must have excellent driving records, pass the DMV’s class B written exam and acquire passenger endorsement. LBT conducts testing that consist of a skills course and road exam.
