Long Beach Transit (LBT) will release three battery-electric buses into regular service on March 31, according to a press release published this week. The buses are the first of 10 that the transit agency will put into service this year. The zero-emission vehicles are the newest addition to LBT’s fleet in its attempt to be environmentally friendly.. The vehicles are said to help reduce LBT’s carbon footprint and lower noise pollution in LBT’s service area.
