Firefighters put out an apartment fire in North Long Beach Monday morning.
The fire was reported at 12:22 a.m. in the 400 block of Market Street, Long Beach Fire Department Capt. Jake Heflin told City News Service.
Firefighters were able to confine the flames to the one unit, Heflin said.
The damage displaced three people who were able to find other accommodations, he said.
One civilian was medically evaluated but not taken to a hospital, Heflin said. One firefighter was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators were called to the scene to determine the cause and origin of the fire, the captain said.
