On Jan. 30 at approximately 11:50 a.m., officers responded to a liquor store near the 900 block of East Broadway in response to a reported stabbing, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

LBPD said that when officers arrived they found a female adult victim suffering from stab wounds to the upper body.

The victim stated she was inside her business when a male adult suspect entered and started an altercation that escalated to the stabbing, police said.

The suspect fled the scene on foot before police arrived at the scene and is still at large.
