Thousands of students, parents and educators are expected to attend the Long Beach Unified School District’s (LBUSD) 16th Annual Education Celebration from 9am to noon on Saturday, Jan. 21 at Cabrillo High School’s main gymnasium, 2001 Santa Fe Ave.
This year’s theme is “Get on the Ball, Get Active.” To balance the rigorous academic programs that LBUSD offers, the Education Celebration’s focus will be on exercising the body as well as the brain, according to the school district’s website.
Parents of students entering kindergarten through eighth grade will find information on each elementary, K-8 and middle school under one roof.
Free transportation is available from LBUSD high schools. The departure schedule is: Lakewood, 8:30am; Jordan, 8:45am and 9:45am; Millikan, 8:25am; Wilson, 8:35am; and Poly at 8:45am and 9:45am. For more information, call (562) 997-8321.
