Rancho Los Alamitos (RLA), 6400 E. Bixby Hill Rd., will host a lecture series on architecture, with its first presentation beginning Aug. 23.
The lecture series, “Conversations in Place,” is in its fourth year, and RLA will provide a total of four presentations on how places are made in the community, with the first discussion being about the architectural past and present of Southern California.
Marc Appleton, with the the American Institute of Architects, will begin the series along with Alan Pullman and Michael Bohn of Studio One Eleven, an integrated practice of architecture, landscape and urban design located in Long Beach.
The series will continue through Nov. 8, and tickets to the entire four-part series are $80, with tickets to the first conversation on Aug. 23 going for $25 each.
