During her first year after her election to the City Council, she studied it carefully, and it is now her belief that Measure U is unnecessary and creates too many funding uncertainties for continuing to deliver our excellent city services. It is rare for an elected official to publicly change their position, for fear of criticism. Lori, our hats are off to you for studying the facts and for taking a public stance against Measure U, when you concluded this was not a good action for Signal Hill.
We hope that the voters will take a hard look, as she has done, and open their minds about the measure and understand how it will negatively impact all of us in our great city. Please vote “no” on Measure U on June 3.
