Letter to the Editor: Press oppression?

Who will expose corruption of corporations? Who, if not us?
Ain’t nothing new about the news nowadays ’cause the latest scoop is always the same scoop. Blacking out breaking news is breaking news. Silence cannot be bought. Oppression of the press. News channels with their desperate distractions.

What’s happening in St.Louis? What’s happening in Hong Kong? We’re too busy being fed stories of firemen saving cats on trees, consumer and political propaganda, the latest gossip or, as I’d like to call them, privacy invasions.

Seems like keeping up with the times means Keeping up with the Kardashians. Better yet, with the wives of either the Mob, the Army, the NBA or the NFL.

This is all just a big attempt to bury the truth. The only ones opulent enough to buy our silence are the very ones we are against. Oppose and expose big-time corporations (oil, chemical, coal experts) as they try to drown out our voices by monopolising the press.
May our voices be heard.
