Twittering for Critters
We took a copy of The Signal to Las Vegas to the Humane Society of the U.S. Conference we attended the week of April 5. Sure can’t ever leave you wonderful people out!
In picture outside of one of our classes: Shirley Vaughan, Sandy Facon, June Walkington, and Nona Daly, attending the conference where we all went to learn some more tricks of the trade on helping animals in our own community— how to be internet savvy by creating a Facebook and Myspace, and joining Twitter— almost sounded like we were going into outer space at the time.

Food for Thought
Project Pantry wants to thank the citizens of Signal Hill, Long Beach and Lakewood for their generosity in donating over ten tons of food this past Saturday for the needy families of our communities. Nearly 400 volunteers of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints collected, sorted, boxed and redistributed this food to Centro Shalom, Project Shepard and other food pantries serving the poor. In this time of need, your caring contributions were greatly appreciated.
