Local DAR chapter welcomes its newest members

The Los Cerritos Chapter of the California State Society Daughters of the American Revolution recently welcomed some of its newest members.
The Los Cerritos Chapter of the California State Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) had a summertime get-together at a member’s home in Long Beach on July 8 so that members could get to know some of the group’s newest members.

Any woman 18 years of age or older who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible to join the DAR. She must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage, and death as well as the Revolutionary service of her Patriot ancestor.
