Dignity Health-St. Mary Medical Center recently awarded two local nonprofit organizations– LINC Housing and Project Angel Food– $143,000 in donations to provide them “essential funding” to improve and expand their services to those they serve.
The funds are intended to help people who need local housing centers and feed counsel patients that are living with chronic conditions, according to a Jan. 29 press release from the medical center.
“The Community Health Grant Program is one way the hospital can work collaboratively to improve the health and wellness of the communities we serve,” said Carolyn Caldwell, president of St. Mary Hospital, in the press release. “Community partnerships are essential to expanding our mission to provide compassionate, high-quality care for everyone.”
