Long Beach police and a local family have been searching for a 14-year-old girl who has been missing since Aug. 7.

Harper Cadman was last seen at her home in East Long Beach at about 8 a.m. one week ago, according to the Long Beach Police Department. Harper is white, 5 feet and 7 inches, is around 120 pounds, has blue eyes, black hair with short bangs and a piercing on the left side of her nose.

Her mother Ari Petronelli said in a social media post that she may be in East Long Beach, Huntington Beach, Los Angeles, Irvine, Orange County or Riverside areas.

Petronelli said Harper knows public transportation well and may be traveling by bus.

Petronelli said her daughter is known to frequent skate parks, malls and nail salons. Parks Harper would frequent in Long Beach include Lincoln, Orizaba and Houghton skate parks.

According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, roughly 460,000 children go missing every year in the United States. The vast majority of these children are found within a year.

If anyone has information about Harper’s whereabouts, they are urged to call the LBPD Missing Persons Detail at (562) 570-7246 or Police Dispatch at (562) 435-6711.
