Over 70 neighborhoods across Long Beach partied from evening till dusk Tuesday night, with neighbors becoming friends over free food, games, giveaways and dances in the street.
Residents hosted block parties for the 40th annual National Night Out, where communities are encouraged to leave the house, enter the neighborhood and make connections. Councilmembers, mayors, police officers and congress members stopped by various communities to meet residents and answer questions.
The Signal Tribune stopped by a handful of these group gatherings from Alamitos Beach to the northside and witnessed intergenerational bonds, cultural festivities and a good night out with neighbors.
We had a great turnout at the Jackson’s in Lakewood Village.
