Thousands of plants from around the world will be available for sale at LBCC’s 42nd annual horticulture sale.
Long Beach City College will host its 42nd annual Horticulture Club Open House and Plant Sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, through Saturday at the Horticulture Gardens located on the Pacific Coast Campus, 1305 E. Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach.
Thousands of carefully-raised plants from around the world— including drought tolerant/water-wise roses, shrubs, vegetables, herbs, cacti/succulents, bedding plants and more will be available to the public. A new feature for sale this year will be horticulture instructor Jorge Ochoa’s rare passion flower plants.
All proceeds assist the horticulture program, student scholarships, and field trips as well as community projects and donations. Ochoa suggests to come early for the best selection and to take a look at some of the new additions to the gardens this year, including the new butterfly house that will be used for both horticulture and biology classes at the Pacific Coast Campus.
Free parking will be allowed in all lots. Due to construction, parking is encouraged in lots located along Walnut Avenue. For more information call (562) 938-3092.
