A 72-year-old woman who went missing on Sunday in Long Beach has been found, police reported today.
Janet Leinaala Maiava was reported missing after leaving her home in the 6700 block of Delta Avenue on foot about 6 p.m. Sunday, and authorities had sought public help to find her.
Late this morning, the Long Beach Police Department reported that she had been found and had been reunited with her family. Other details were not released.
