Long Beach Pride 2025 will celebrate community and inclusion this weekend

Long Beach will be louder and prouder this weekend during the 42nd annual Long Beach Pride, kicking off the season of major pride celebrations happening nationwide. 

This year’s Long Beach Pride will celebrate “The Power of Community” through engaging live performances, art, cultural showcases, interactive experiences and tons of unifying fun. 

The two-day event consists of a community festival happening Saturday and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. at Marina Green Park (386 E Shoreline Drive) and a parade beginning Sunday at 10 a.m. that rolls through Ocean Boulevard and Alamitos Avenue. 

The music and performance lineup for the 2025 Long Beach Pride Festival will feature artists like HYM the Rapper, pop vocalist Tori Kay, Latinx group Mamboson, throwback band Radio Royalty and alternative musician Tiancho. On the turntables will be several DJs, such as DJ BSelecta, DJ Icy Ice and DJ 360 along with MegaWoof, which will combine DJs with high-energy go-go dancers. 

Special activations will include the Galactivation Station, an interactive EDM dome hosted by “America’s Got Talent” contestants The Galactaviators and the vogue-filled Ballroom Dance-Off. Plus, the spirited George Michael Reborn Tribute, a drag show extravaganza featuring performers from Jewels Productions and Secret Service Presents: The Takeover, a fun mashup of Latinx hits, dance music and hip-hop that’s perfect to party to.

The two-day festival will include the following zones and experiences: 

  • Founders Stage – Featuring live bands, drag performers and dance battles.
  • Hip Hop Stage – Highlighting local DJs.
  • EDM Tent: The Fairies’ Dance Area – Live electronic beats by The Galactivators. 
  • Queer Country – Featuring DJ Rick, The Wranglers dance group and line dancing.
  • Teen Pride – A safe, affirming space for teens 17 and under to celebrate their fabulous self.
  • TransVisibility  – Showcasing the transgender community through art.
  • Food & Drink  – Food trucks, picnic areas and themed bar spaces presented by Broken Spirits.
  • Health Hub – Free testing, wellness info and several community organizations onsite, including APAIt, Bienestar, APLA and the Long Beach Health Department.
  • Recovery & Support Spaces – Guests who are in recovery can attend Narcotics Anonymous or Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
  • Craft & Info Booths – Comprising nonprofits, local makers and LGBTQ+ vendors.

Ticket options for the festival include daily general admission which is $20 for children (ages 13-17) and seniors (ages 60 and over) and $40 for adults. VIP passes are also on sale, ranging from $125 to $225.

A lineup of grand marshals, ranging from local leaders to community advocates who channel the theme of this year’s celebration, has been announced for Sunday’s parade: 

  • Morris Kight Political Grand Marshal – Second District City Councilmember Cindy Allen.
  • Whitey Littlefield Community Bridge Building Grand Marshal – Carolyn Caldwell, president and CEO of St. Mary Medical Center, Long Beach.
  • Robert Crow Grand Marshal and Celebrity Grand Marshal – Jennifer Kumiyama, actress and disability rights activist.
  • Marilyn Barlow Grand Marshal – The founding members of the performance group It’s a Drag to Give: Debra Kahookele, Josie Quiros, Rocio Rached and Isa Rached. Isa Rached tragically passed away on Jan. 2.
  • Judith Doyle Grand Marshal – Pastor Tony Carreras from Christ Chapel Long Beach
  • Dr. Robert Garcia Youth Grand Marshal –  Local high school student and education advocate Alex Malleis-Sternberg
  • Media Grand Marshals – NBC4 News anchor Annabelle Sedano and Enrique Chiabra, anchor for Noticiero Telemundo 52.

The Long Beach Pride Parade is free to attend and will begin from Ocean Boulevard and Lindero Avenue. 

Those who are unable to attend can watch live coverage of the parade on NBCLA.com, Telemundo52.com, the NBCLA and Telemundo 52 mobile apps or through the statons’ local news streaming channels NBC Los Angeles News, Telemundo Noticias California.
