With the 38th Annual Toyota Grand Prix back in town, Long Beach Transit will be making a few key service adjustments for April 12—15 to accommodate locals and tourists. Due to race course detours and an influx of bus passengers leading up to and on race weekend, Long Beach Transit is announcing the following temporary route changes:
Passports A & D April 13—15
Larger 40-foot coaches will replace Passport A & D buses to transport more passengers in comfort. Buses will operate between the Traffic Circle, CSULB, Belmont Shore/Naples and Marina Drive to the Grand Prix gates downtown. Buses will bypass the Passport Center on Pine Avenue (between 1st St. and Ocean Boulevard). Bus boardings are available along Ocean Boulevard.
Passport A April 13—15
Buses will serve Alamitos Bay Landing with a temporary stop located north of the Marina Drive Bridge.
Passport B April 12 only
Buses will run on Pacific Ave. from 1st to 3rd streets
Passport C April 12 only
Buses will run on Pacific Avenue from Broadway to 4th Street
Passport C April 13—15
Buses will operate between the Queen Mary, Shoreline Village and Pine Avenue to 8th Street. A temporary bus stop will be located on 1st Street next to L’Opera restaurant. Service on Pine Avenue south of Ocean Boulevard (Pike, Aquarium, Convention Center), will not be available.
AquaBus April 14-15
The boats will be running special service during race weekend from 8am to 6pm with service at the following docks: Queen Mary, Hotel Maya, Dock 7 at Pine Circle and Dock 9 at Shoreline Village. Fare is $1 from one stop to the other.
