Long Beach Transit has announced the return of its Museum Express, offering residents $14 roundtrips to designated museums and libraries throughout October.

The 2024 season will begin on Oct. 5 with a morning trip to The Getty Center and will end Oct. 27 with a trip to Mission San Juan Capistrano. Most trips begin in the early morning and return in the evening.

This program is meant to encourage the use of public transportation while promoting regional arts and culture during National Arts and Humanities Month. The $14 ride ticket only covers transportation, and attendees will still have to pay the cover charge and/or make an online reservation. Children 2 years old and younger ride for free.

There will be two pick-up locations for each ride: The Transit & Visitor Information Center (130 E. First St.) and Willow Station (2750 W. American Ave.). Parking is available at each location.

Residents will be riding on Long Beach Transit’s sustainable fleet, a 45-foot battery-electric commuter coach, providing zero-emissions. These buses accommodate wheelchairs.
