40-year-old Long Beach resident Stephanie Moreno died in a single-vehicle car crash on Jan 1. 2022, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Officers arrived at approximately 11:31 a.m. to the area of 7th Street and Los Altos Avenue, according to LBPD.
A preliminary investigation found that Moreno had been driving her 2008 Honda Civic eastbound on 7th Street and was approaching Los Altos Avenue when her vehicle ran off the road and hit a light pole as well as two parked unoccupied vehicles.
Her vehicle eventually stopped on Los Altos Avenue south of 7th Street.
The Long Beach Fire Department arrived and determined Moreno was deceased at the scene.
A male adult passenger that was in the vehicle with her during the crash sustained minor injuries and received medical treatment at the scene.
According to LBPD, the cause of the crash is still being investigated.
