Los Angeles man fatally shot in Long Beach

A 33-year-old man was fatally shot in Long Beach on Thursday, Feb. 10, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

At approximately 9:45 p.m. on Feb. 10, LBPD officers arrived at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Burnett Street in response to multiple reports of gunshots and at least one report of a person down in the street.

After arriving at the scene, officers found a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body, police said. 

Police said officers gave the victim first aid until Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived at the scene, and determined that the victim was deceased.

The victim was identified as 33-year-old Gaylon Bolton of Los Angeles.

Police said the investigation is preliminary and information is limited. 

Police said there is currently no suspect description or known motive for the shooting. Homicide detectives are collecting all available evidence which can assist them in identifying a suspect.
