Get set for a colorful and exotic island-style evening of fun on Friday, Aug. 3, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Long Beach Senior Center, 1150 East Fourth Street. It’s their annual Hawaiian Luau Dinner Dance.
For just $8 a person, those over age 50 can enjoy a delicious and ample catered dinner from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Dinner includes teriyaki ribs, rice pilaf, Polynesian veggies, pineapple cole slaw, tropical fruit salad and Hawaiian luau cake. Then, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., break out the grass skirts and leis to dance to the Hawaiian music of DJ Ken Sing. Intermission times are filled with lovely door-prize drawings and refreshments.
RSVPs are desirable for those who wish to have dinner. Register in person in Room 107, Information & Assistance, at the Senior Center. Payment must accompany registration.
