The Mark Twain Neighborhood Library will reopen for full service on Aug. 1 after operating on a “To-Go” model for the majority of July.

The library cited staffing shortages and issues with residents both inside and outside the facility as the reason for the closure, according to a July 7 press release.

During the roughly three-week closure, library staff worked to onboard additional staff and increase security presence at the Mark Twain branch during business hours.

With the return to full service, patrons can enjoy book browsing and check out, public computers and printing, restroom use and meeting room rentals. Mark Twain Neighborhood Library hours are:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, noon to 7 p.m.
  • Wednesdays, noon to 6 p.m.
  • Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Mark Twain Neighborhood Library is located at 1401 E. Anaheim St.
