The 13th Annual Queen Mary Shipwreck Terror Fest is back with a vengeance and is looking to hire over 400 monsters to work in seven mazes, makeup artists to make the monsters look ghoulish, and also has positions open for Shipwreck attendants available.
Auditions for monsters and attendants are Sept. 25 and 26 at 6 p.m. Makeup artists need only apply on Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. and artists should bring a portfolio of their work to the auditions. Current wages for monsters, attendants and makeup artists are $9 per hour for Shipwreck monsters, $8 per hour for Shipwreck attendants and $15 per hour for makeup artists.
Those interested are asked to apply in person and bring proof of employment eligibility such as their social security card and photo ID to their audition and/or interview. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and must be able to work from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., possibly later on some nights, on Oct. 1 to 7, Oct. 13, Oct. 19 to 21, Oct. 26 to 28, 30 and Oct. 31.
