Want more drought-tolerant plants? Try native plants from El Dorado Nature Center. From 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 27, the Nature Center will host its Annual California Native Plant Sale sponsored by Partners of Parks.
The plant sale is just in time for outdoor fall planting and most of the plants available are well suited to Southern California’s dry climate and require minimal watering once established.
From fragrant sages to showy ceanothus, wildflower seeds to native trees, the Nature Center will have just the right plants for you.
With fragrant foliage and brightly colored flowers, many of these plants will attract butterflies, hummingbirds and other wildlife to your garden.
There will be many different native plants available as well as gardening information, tips, books and unique gifts.
All proceeds will help support habitat restoration at El Dorado Nature Center. Purchases of $75 or more will have the $7 parking fee credited toward their total. Arrive early for the best selection. Members of Friends of El Dorado Nature get an early preview of plants at 8:30 a.m.
