Neighborhood organization to host free family event

The neighborhood group Andy Street Community Association (ASCA), in collaboration with the California Bank & Trust, African-American Convening Committee, Cali Bike Tours, The Children’s Clinic and Unearth & Empower Communities, will present a healthy lifestyles fair as part of their North Long Beach Communities— Believe, Grow and Improve initiative.
The free event will feature body and wellness seminars, a bike rodeo, “your financial temperature” seminars and “The Art of Life,” a presentation offering tips and advice for families. Covered California counselors will also be on hand for any community members wishing to apply for health insurance.
The event will take place at Northpointe Community, 5441 N. Paramount Blvd., on Saturday, March 8 from 10am to 1pm.
