Local business owners Marty Meier and Michael Mosselli will launch Long Beach Art Walk on Saturday, Aug. 12 from 4pm to 10pm. The new art walk stretches from 1st Street to 4th Street along Linden Avenue and Elm Avenue. Eight galleries and 22 business will be participating in the launch.
With the support of East Village businesses and community stakeholders, the art walk will highlight shops along the route, a map of which is available to residents and visitors via lbartwalk.org. The walk’s organizers are partnering with business owners, who will activate their stores with art, music and performances.
In addition to businesses opening their doors to artists and performers, participants will be able to learn about the public art in the East Village through a virtual map, accessible via a QR code.
The Long Beach Art Walk will take place every second Saturday of the month. The new website will be updated monthly with featured locations and events.
