Long Beach will get its first animal emergency hospital when Long Beach Animal Emergency (LBAE) opens for business on Friday, Dec. 9 at 6pm. LBAE will open at 6 pm, when most of the local veterinarians are closing, and stay open all night, closing at 8am, when many vets reopen for business. On weekends, LBAE will open at 6pm on Friday and stay open until Monday at 8am. On holidays, the facility will also provide 24-hour coverage.
“Currently, pet owners in Long Beach have to drive far distances to get after-hour emergency care for their pets,” said Kate Scott RVT, the hospital’s manager. “Long Beach Animal Emergency will now be there to serve the local and neighboring pet population when the family veterinarian is closed. Our vision is to provide compassionate care and state-of-the-art quality medicine and surgery for pets in the ‘after hours’ setting.”
Long Beach Animal Emergency is located at 4720 E. Pacific Coast Hwy., just south of the traffic circle. Starting Friday at 6pm, they can be reached at (562) 735-5200. Visit LBERVET.com.
