New president appointed at MoLAA

bob-myers.gifThe Museum of Latin American Art has appointed Robert J. Myers as President of the museum. Myers, who has spent the last 10 years as the founding head of the Cultural Services Division with the city of Torrance, has had a long and distinguished career in managing cultural institutions both in the United States and abroad.
The museum began a national search for a new leader when MoLAA’s current CEO Nancy Fox announced last February that she was planning to resign at the end of June to pursue new career opportunities. Fox, who joined MoLAA in 2000, led the museum through its recent expansion from a 30,000-square-foot facility to a 55,000-square-foot facility.
“I can think of no greater reward for a CEO than to have been part of this incredible growth and expansion project,” Fox said. “With the project completed, it’s time for me to take on a new challenge.” Myers will assume his position at MoLAA on July 30.
