This week, California 70th District Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell and Sen. Tom Umberg presented a resolution in the State Assembly and Senate congratulating the California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) men’s volleyball team on its 2019 NCAA championship victory earlier this year.
CSULB emerged victorious over the University of Hawaii last month in the final round of the NCAA’s volleyball championships at Long Beach. Following its 2018 championship victory, men’s volleyball became the first program at the university to win back-to-back NCAA National Championships.
“Today, we stand next to champions on and off the court,” O’Donnell said. “These individuals make Long Beach proud, our CSU system proud and they make California proud. They are champions, and I wish them continued success.”
