Michael Nageotte, M.D., has been named the Associate Chief Medical Officer (ACMO) for the Memorial Care Center for Women at Miller Children’s Hospital and Long Beach Memorial. Nageotte will be responsible for overseeing Labor & Delivery, Women’s Surgical Services, physician recruitment and retention.
“Dr. Nageotte is an exceptional leader, passionate advocate for health care and has a strong track record as a visionary and innovator in caring for women and their newborns,” said Mark Roberts, chief medical officer at Miller Children’s Hospital. “His credentials at Memorial Care Center for Women and in previous experiences, have positioned him well to become associate chief medical officer.”
For the past 25 years, Nageotte has served as medical director of the Memorial Women’s Hospital, executive director of the obstetric & gynecology careline and was executive director of graduate medical education at Long Beach Memorial before accepting his new position.
“My goal, as always, is to maintain high-quality service and safety for all women and children who enter Miller Children’s and Long Beach Memorial,” said Nageotte.
In addition to being an active staff perinatologist at the Memorial Care Center for Women, Nageotte is also a professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Irvine Medical Center.
Nageotte completed his internship and residency at Harbor General Hospital, UCLA Medical Center and his fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Long Beach Memorial/University of California, Irvine. He is board certified in obstetrics & gynecology and maternal fetal medicine.
